    Tuesday League

Wednesday, March 14, 2007, 04:06 AM CST [General]

Well league for Tuesday didnt go as well as i hoped it would after shooting great in my tourney. first game was a little sketchy, shot a 178!, followed up nicely with a 245, and finished of with a 223. For the most part i recovered pretty well after my first game. My line seemed to change every 4-5 frames, which made it very difficult. To adjust for this i moved 1/2 board left on the approach and 1/2 board with my mark every 5 or so frames. that seemed to keep up with the constent change of the lanes.

now for my question that i am hoping to recieve some insight, with the new bowling ball i won (roto grip sd 73 classic) what would you suggest on my drilling pattern. Should i go with the "stacked position" or maybe somthing with a little more backend to it? i know it depends alot on how i throw the ball, but given certain lane conditions, i can shoot standing on board 10, shooting down 10 and coming in hard, i can also shoot board 25 to board 10 and get it to come back, so i have a wide range when it comes to my throw.

    Tourney

Tuesday, March 13, 2007, 12:01 AM CST [General]

Just bowled in my first tourney ever. I think I did rather well too. During quallifying ( 4 games ). First score was 278, second 245, thrid 223, and fourth 203. (those were scratch). with my handicap added in i shot a 1057. I qualified 1st and won a free Roto Grip SD-73 Classic. Qualifying top 8 gave me amnesty to round 2. there i finished 2nd, and advanced to the top 8. There i didnt do so hott (lanes were dry due to not reconditioning) and took 6th over all, i cashed out at $90.00 plus the bowling ball.
